It all begins with a family passion …

“I grew up playing in my family's joinery and the smell of timber has always felt like home to me.

When I first started, my grandfather gave me his valuable advice. Among those, he kept repeating that for the first two years, I should focus on sandpaper jobs and chiselling so that my hands could learn "how to feel the timber".

As a young and eager apprentice, I was excited to create my first piece of furniture. However, as the years went by, I realized that my grandfather's advice was spot on. It takes a lot of time and patience to develop the expertise and sensibility required to master great craftsmanship.

For 10 years, I worked for my family's workshop in Italy, where we made solid timber tables, custom-made furniture, designed wardrobes, kitchens, vanities and all kinds of joinery items. We collaborated with the best architects in town, and we were responsible for restoring most of the heritage sites in the area.

Since I moved to Australia in 2014, I collaborated with several larger companies. Through these experiences, I gained a solid understanding of the local market and developed the concept behind TimberSoul.”
